New Finance Director appointed at Tenon
Tenon, the 9th largest accountancy and business advisory firm, is delighted to announce a series of senior appointments including a new Finance Director and two new director appointments in its Business Services and Corporate Finance Divisions. The appointments are as follows:
- > Russell McBurnie, 35, has been appointed as Finance Director. Russell joined Tenon in 2005 working as Group Financial Controller prior to which he held various appointments at First Group PLC, ultimately as divisional financial controller with turnover in excess of £200m. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche in Bristol.
Tenon has also made a further two director appointments in Business Services and Corporate Finance.
- > Mark McRae, 34, has joined Tenon’s Glasgow office as an Audit/Business Services Director. Mark trained and qualified with Deloitte in 1996 and has more recently been a partner with PKF in Glasgow. Mark has provided assurance and advisory services to a range of local businesses with extensive experience in providing support to clients within the healthcare, leisure, technology, financial services and property development sectors.
- > Steve Brown, 47, has been appointed to build a Corporate Finance team in Reading to provide advisory services and transaction support to local businesses. Steve spent over 20 years with Deloitte both in London and subsequently in the Thames Valley where he transferred to establish a new Corporate Finance team which he headed up. Steve retired from the Deloitte partnership and worked in conjunction with PKF in London where he identified and executed deals. Steve specialises in Corporate Finance advisory work with particular experience in private equity transactions, as well as the mergers and acquisitions buy and sell side.

Having worked closely with Russell in recent months, I know he will be an excellent finance director and an asset to the business.
